I have Tubbs in my family. These Tubbs are in England.

Searched 1905-1933 could find no marriage. 

Do you have your Auntys full name ?

Is it possible they married overseas ?

There were a couple of Meadowcroft marriages ( 1907-10) and a heap of them about 1927-30, but no Eric.

Otherwise its purchasing Eric's death certificate to find his parents. Then its back to easy street  ,  not too many entries in UK indexes so once you have confirmed his parents, shouldn't be too hard.

Same with Tubb, have a couple of possible candidates and really all we need is confirmation of the parents, re Marriage certificate.

Or you could try trawling thru the shipping lists, have to ask Riley about those.

Audrey Meadowcroft and she married a Edward floyd my grnd dad was eric herbert and he married maude ellen Tubb. i think cheers

Found your mums birth in Cambridge and your Auntys birth in 1920 at Otrohanga, but no marriage from 1910 - 1920.

                                                 

 Did Eric fight in WWI  ?

 maybe he married Ellen in Great Britain.

The Gahagans would be Eric Meadowcroft's mother's family. Alice Gahagan born 1854 in Canterbury, NZ, but most older siblings born in Adelaide, South Australia. Alice's parents (Benjamin & Louisa) were on the first ship - the Coromandel - to arrive in the South Australia colony, in January 1837.
