franz hermann hilliger

Franz was born in Helbra Saxony Germany in 1854, died 1924 in England.He lived at 544 Tottenham high road and was a furrier by trade, married Emily Harper 1878.
Is it possible to find out anything about him before he came to England?.Family rumour has it that he was descended from the well known Hilliger bell and gun makers in Germany.

I think his marriage cert would be a good start at least then you will know who his father is
