Haydon Hill Northumberland England
« on: Monday 14 March 16 18:34 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help.  I am trying to find a place called Haydon Hill, Northumberland, England.  Is this another name for Haydon Bridge, Northumberland or is it somewhere else in Northumberland.  Any info would be appreciated

I'm researching my ancestors and on the 1851 census it shows my great great grandfather was born there but I cant find anything about it.  I wasn't sure whether it was an old name for Haydon Bridge or it had been misheard as Hazon Mill, Morpeth

James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.

There is a Bardon Mill 2/3 miles from Haydon Bridge, Hexham.  Could it be that?
