I gave up too, but I'm in the US and wasn't surprised at the sound quality. But I am surprised that it was no better for the UK

I think it was a worldwide problem no matter where you were.  We have very fast broadband and it was still bad.

Just had a listen to the uploaded one on YouTube and it's better than the live one.  Here is the link if anyone wants to have a relisten/watch

Added: Got it, it doesn't start until about 3 minutes in.
