Minerva 1814 Dublin - regiment? Barracks? Camp?

Hi

1814 Ann Wildrick (daughter of Mary) married Edward Dogherty, November 9 at St Mary's RC church, which I think was Haddington Road, Dublin (please correct if wrong.)

There's a note in the register which says NB He belongs to the Minerva - word then looks like Catton (battalion? Camp?) and had a certificate from his captain Captain McGhee.

I've tried google but can't find anything to help. Just wondered if anyone knew what this was?

There was an HMS Minerva 5th Rate (Frigate) 32 guns 1805 -1815.
Griffiths Llandogo, Mitcheltroy, Mon. and Whitchurch Here (Also Edwards),  18th C., Griffiths FoD 19th Century.

What would happen to his wife then if he was a sailor - wait at home till he came back?

The Minerva was decommissioned 1814/15 and broken up in 1815. Perhaps our man was discharged as part of the the reductions on the coming of peace.
