Trying to decipher place name

Hi everyone, I was hoping I could get a bit of help in deciphering the place name in this marriage record. The general location is Skreen and Dromard, Sligo, Ireland.

What I can make out is: "Patt McGarry of Sheeanemore to Catherine Boland of ??, Wit. Darbey ?? and Beesy Ditts(?)" I can't seem to figure out the specific location listed for Catherine Boland. Thanks for any help you can give.

I think that the line ends with the word "Ditto" rather than "Ditts"  .... so I think Bessy is Bessy Boland.

I am not familiar with locations in Ireland, as I am based in Australia, and transcribe New South Wales records, but I think "Wit" is abbreviation for Witnesses, so Bessy Boland would be one of the witnesses at that marriage.

Catherine Boland of Finura Finnure, a townland in Skreen parish
Witness Darby Mallaghten

But does the Ditto refer to Boland above it, or the Darby M who is the other witness?

Yes, I would also suggest Finnure or a variation of its spelling. Finnure is next to Sheeanemore on the map. Also on the same page of the marriage register is a "Thomas Scott of Templeboy to Bridget (?) Boland of same word" to compare it to

Good point Dawn.  Yes, "Ditto" is obviously referring to Bessy's surname, and it may well be same as Darby's, however if it were Darby's would it have been written "Darby & Bessy M............"

"Ditto" as meaning "same said/written previously"

Thanks, everyone. Finnure seems to make the most sense. One thing that was confusing me is that it looks like there is an 'h' after what looks like Finnure, and I also thought the F looked like a T haha.

I'm also not sure exactly who the Ditto would refer to, but I'm not all that worried about it. I suppose it could be useful somehow though.

I've browsed through other pages of the register and ditto is used a couple of times where there is no word above, so there it refers to the name on the same line. As it looks like there was probably enough room to fit Boland at the end of the line, I think it likely it refers to the longer M.... name

Who knows which way people write other people's names
Usually though for witnesses, don't they write each name separately?  e.g. John Smith & Mary Smith rather than John & Mary Smith.  I still think it's probably ditto-ing the other witness's surname - after all, both Boland and M.....  are 'written previously'
