Rupp -I found 35,000 familytrees for Rupp
Rupps - that is the name given for  the mother at Henry Doering marriage in 1873

Thank you garstonite,

Rupe is a very rare name in Germany, I would look for Rupp.

It is not Affeld! Like in Heffe = Hesse - the "long" s is looking like a f!

And here is the nice little town of the Doering/Döring family:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alsfeld (Hessen-Darmstadt)

It might be a good start to order the LDS films for Alsfeld, Hesse, checking them for Döring, Neeb - and Rupp.

Thank you for the information on Alsfeld,Germany, maybe I'm spelling the name wrong. It could be
Rupp. This is some information my father put together about 40 years ago.

How far is Frankfort,Germany from Alsfeld ?

David Doering, born February 3,1786,his wife Elizabeth (Neeb),and their sons Heinrich,Adam,
Andrew and Christoph all of Alsfeld, arriving on August 5, 1835, in Kitchner, Ontario.

Settled in the growing city of Kitchner, where the family prospered.  Tom
