Just found something else that might interest you in the 1851 census.

George C Hoster   Head   37  Curate Of Fakenham b. in Norwich

Ann          Hoster   Wife    24   b. Milton, Kent
Mary C     Hoster    Dau      3   b. Reepham, Norfolk
Ann   M    Hoster    Dau      2   b. Reepham, Norfolk
George H Hoster    Son    11   b. Ellingham, Fakenham

They also had a cook, Nursemaid, Nurse and Housemaid
 living with them

I know there is an r on the end of the name but I think this fits more with what you were looking for. Its funny I found this family while looking for someone else and when I checked my emails  there was the message from you Spooky or what.
Any way hope this helps you and not confuses you more.
Do you have any definate names that you are looking for? All the best  Anjo

Address:  Oak St, Fakenham, Walsingham

Even more spooky ................. it's the family I have in my tree . Only young George would have been 11 months. George snr and Ann went on to 7 other children 6 girls and 1 more boy who followed in his fathers footsteps and became Curate of Hampstead. Young George when into the Navy like his rather famous grt Uncle Sir William Hoste.

Thank you so much Anjo...........I just know I'll be back for more of you help : ) Thanks

Much happiness
Debi

Hi Ossie

How exciting we do have a connection. Maj Gen Dixon Edward Hoste 1827 - 1905 and Mary had one other son born to them Theodore 1863 Tronto canada ( from the channel Island 1871 census )

I guess you know his son of the same name was a missonary in China?

Where is your connection?

Mine is Dixon snrs eldest brother Rev George Charles Hoste b 1814 fakenham d 1892 Eastbourne Sussex

Much happiness

Hi I have a lot of the Hoste , Walpole, Seymour,  Glover family of Norfolk, Tittleshall, South Creake, Barwick etc worked out...as they are near relatives.

I am looking for all Hoste descendants of this area...

To answer someone's question Ann Hoste was the daughter of Rev Dixon Hoste and Margaret Stanforth, she married her 1st cousin Derrick Hoste
of Barwick House...they had 3 daughters, the 2nd one Lousia Jane b/d 1837.  Derrick's father William and the Rev Dixon were brothers, and his mother
Anne Glover... daughter of Robert G. of Barwick and Ann Turner.

Looking to share information...and find Hoste cousins/ descendants.

Can you tell me where some of these names were sourced?
I am also interested in any additional information of any people you have mentioned below.

I only have Mary; Jane Margaret;  and Rev Dixon Edward  listed...  I would like to be sure where the other information to siblings comes from

thanks,
David
