Researching the family name HOSTE of Fakenham Norfolk.

The family were either in the clergy or the Navy.
For every ancestor I find , I have to find two more.

What time bracket are you looking at? Found an Ann Hoste who was head of Barwick house, Docking in 1851 but there where no other Hoste listed in the norfolk area.

Hi here is the info you asked for.

Ann Hoste        Head  52  Widow   Annuiant    b. Godwick
Sophia M Hoste  Dau  15 scholar at home      b. Kings Lynn
Elizabeth M Hoste Dau 11 scholar at home  b. Little Barwick.

( All born in Norfolk )

There is a list of servants and a governess if you want those as well??

Like I said they were all living in Barwick House, Docking, Norfolk.

I have the 1841 census if you want me to have a look for this family and see if they were there then?

All the best Anjo

Couldn't find them in Docking but there was a couple of pages that were totally unreadable.

I will have a look under Fakenham but it will have to wait till this evening as it is too nice to be stuck in and I am off out. Let you know when I find something ok.

Just gone through Fakenham pages and couldn't find any Hoste on the pages I could read anyway. I had a look on the lds site to see if they had any info and there are quite a few Hoste's listed.
I found a marriage entry for Sophia Margaret Hoste (Daughter of the family i sent you off the 1851 census)
She married George Henry Seymor abt 1863!

Sorry I couldn't be of any more help if you have any other area of Norfolk you would like me to try let me know ok.

You are the wrong end of the country I am in Waterford and today was just glorious we took the kids to the beach for the afternoon.

All the best Angela.
