I have just noticed that you have access to a 1950 directory for Dublin.   Could you give me any information about any of the Henderson family living in Dublin please.  I am looking for an address for Alfred Henderson but any other Hendersons in the directory are of interest too.

Many thanks.

Hi Catherine,

This is great. It is my first post.

I found my ancestor, Cecilia Pendergast, when she got married in London to James Stanton in 1823. She emigrated July 1843 from Liverpool on the Ship Scotia. Later a census in the USA (Baltimore, Maryland) listed her as born in Ireland.  I have never found an exact birthdate but the various census suggests between 1790 and 1793.  A possible brother, Charles Pendergast, was listed as born in Dublin in 1791.

That is not a lot of info. but I am hoping there is a database that may contain Cecilia born between those years or Cecilia and Charles in the same Pendergast family about that  time period. Any suggestions are welcome.

if you are looking for details of a burial in Mount Jerome:

Mount Jerome:  Another south side burial ground, much nearer the city centre than Deansgrange, situated at Harold's cross it was until the 1920s predominantly used by the Protestant denominations, now it is used by all.

Dates.  Opened in 1836 it is still in use.   At time of writing Mount Jerome has no web presence but can be contacted by phone at (your International access) + 353 1 4971269

you may find this useful

Best wishes

Hello taid,

Charles Freer was a producer with the BBC Northern Ireland Home Service.
I think his wife was Doreen and their daughter was Judith.

Hello Anne,

Snap, most of mine are in Glasnevin, a couple then scattered around Celbridge, Skerries, and Dardistown,....

My Freear's are in Cambridge, and Worcestershire, not been able to connect that side of the family to Ireland just yet lol... I think that would crack me up since the irish side of Condon's, Scanlan's, McDonnell's and others have been tough enough to struggle through... must meet up for a coffee in Town some day lol

Best wishes
