that could be right, I was not sure if my father was older, or the same age, just he had to marry her because she was pregnant and they married in 1962, so that William may well be right, thanks all at least its a start

No marriage cert, just page copy, I am thinking obtaining this will be a good start, I think its going to be a tricky one, 17 children too

Could Mary's maiden name have been
Taylor
Hardy
?
Possible marriage: Mary Hardy to Edward Graham Jan./Mar.1932 Stockton district
if so, I've found 14 possible children born 1932-1953 (the eldest not a girl) which I can send by PM since many of them could still be living
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for
some time
many years!

There's a William Graham mmn Hidey March 1943, no marriage in the index for this but he sits nicely between 2 potential siblings born March 1942 and December 1944 and a possible death 1992 in Central Cleveland district.
You really need the 1962 marriage certificate as a 1st step

I have been offline for a while and notice you have received some good help and advice. Looking at your profile and age as 95, I mistakenly expected events related to your grandparents to have occured longer ago and perhaps the family may appear in the 1911 and 1901 censuses. I see that is not the case.
I would agree that purchasing the 1962 marriage certificate is the best way to begin this journey.
