« on: Monday 22 February 16 08:21 GMT (UK) »
Through marriage, I am connected with these family names. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who might have information relating to them. The lived in the Kempsey, Smithtown, Frederickton, Macksville and surrounding areas.
Thanks

I think it will become rather chaotic trying to research six families in one post.

It would be better to identify the families more specifically...names, dates, events, but do not name living people.

Then give what information you have, and what you are now wanting to find.

Are these your families?

5652/1885  HILLARD George  m.  PLUMMER Mary     @  Kempsey

22190/1937  HOLBOROW Wrexal  David   m.     DAVEY Marjorie May  @ Kempsey

Make a separate post here for each family. Who are the COLEMAN and SPOKES relatives?

Also, please give us some idea of WHEN they inhabited these northern NSW areas.

Incidentally, I have just indexed a funeral in the Brisbane Courier-Mail for Ryerson (won't be on the Ryerson website till after 27 Feb when I can get home to check before submitting) for

HILLARD, Norman Sutton.  DOD 02 Feb 1995 aged 72 years  'Died at home' but they don't say where home is!  Presumably in Brisbane as cremated at Mt Thompson Crematorium.  Can't name rellies as they may still be living.  Let me know if you think there is a connection and I'll PM you the details.

Hello everyone, I posted all the names above as I thought that if anyone was in any doubt, they might have family that are connected with more than one name. By listing them all, I covered most possibilities of links between the 'wheelie' long list of names. I am sure that if anyone has a link with any of the names and they contact me, I will be able to sort what is relevant and what might not be relevant. I have been juggling about 20 families trees for many years.

I have seen the posts relating to the Spokes and Holborow / Coleman families. Thanks.

BillyBlue - I think there was a line of Hillards who moved to Queensland. They are not my direct line, but I do remember something about some Hillards who moved from New South Wales to Qld.
Thanks for the information. I have saved it and should I find a connection, I can add the details you posted. Cheers.

Wivenhoe - They are related to my husbands family. Wrex and Marj are his parents.
George and Mary Hillard are related, but not on my husbands direct line. Colemans are connected through the marriage of Richard Holborow and Clara Coleman / Teague. Clara was born Coleman, but took the name of her stepfather after the marriage of her mother Sophia Coleman to Robert Teague. If you see the link posted about Spokes - Holborow you will see the link between Colemans, Spokes and Holborows.
Thanks to everyone for your comments.
Mrs Wheelie.
