Suzy100,

He may had re married as with him being sentenced to 7 years he could had re married or his wife doing the same [ if she had lived that is ]

The first link is for Tasmanian Convicts you may find a death certificate on there for him.

Hope you find all the info. Fascinating stuff!
I have come across an ancestor Patrick Hall who was a School Master in Derbyshire - He married in about 1806 and had two children with his wife Sarah.  In 1817 Sarah gave birth to a daughter and both died.  I have come across a Patrick Hall of Horsley School Master being convicted and transported to Australia in 1829 for 7 years.  There is also a newspaper article about his crime.  My question is how do I now go about confirming and getting more information on this.  Many thanks  :)

Have you read his convict records?  The link has been given twice:

https://linctas.ent.sirsidynix.net.au/client/en_AU/names/search/results?qu=PATRICK&qu=HALL

The hulk registers are available on Ancestry.

Debra  :)

Hi Debra  yes I have read that link, but didn't find the earlier conviction link.

I have now found it on ancestry too.  Also found the brother David.
Patrick was married earlier to an Anne (not sure of surname or date of death yet) and they had a son Patrick who I think only lived a few days, he then went on to marry Sarah Hunt and they had two children, she then died giving birth to their 3rd child, all that loss may have tipped him over the edge!!  Very sad.  Still collating all the info though.
