I've not looked to much into my y-DNA results as there is obviously nothing to tie it in with my paper trial, as of yet.
However, I just downloaded the entire batch and started looking through the names when I noticed a large portions of Harrelson, Harrells and variants. Looking into the ancestry of actor, Woody Harrelson, I found one of my matches is a relative; and most of the earliest ancestors all go back to the same country in South Carolina.
These all match on my y-DNA-12, at ~90% for 24 generations. There are 17 matches to Harrelsons and variants. Should this be considered as fact or is there a chance this is noise?
Also, what is the realistic time frame for MRCA? The Harrelsons are evidently from Denmark; whereas although my paternal paper trial is Welsh my real paternal line is evidently English, seemingly being a descendant of the
Tathams.
