MANC/LANCS/CHESHIRE POLICE
« on: Sunday 17 July 05 21:41 BST (UK) »
Can anyone tell me how I may find details on my great great grandfather Alfred Bostock.  He was listed as a Police Constable on my great grandfather Alfred Bostocks marriage certificate about 1880s.

Can you clarify that?
Was the marriage not in 1907 and the birth of alfred (the groom) c 1880?

You cannot find him on census in 1881, in 1891 he is in Macclesfield and 1901 west derby.
At no time is he listed with family.

Yes the marriage was in 1907 West Derby Liverpool - Birth place Manchester, Father Alfred Bostock Police Constable (deceased).

I have seen him listed in 1901 census as a boarder but couldn't find anything beyond that.  Didn't know he was listed as Macclesfield 1891 I haven't found that so thanks for that.
