Thank you. I have not seen either of these books but would certinly be interested in the Lancaster Operations of One Squadron. I have searched for both titles you mentioned and it would seem that both books are currently unavailable. Have made contact with the granddaughter of william beet so a wonderful outcome- particularly poignant as it was on the eve of VE Day 75.

Sorry Caroline my post was a bit vague.

Lancaster Operations-One squadrons contribution to the bomber offensive. (100 squadron)

They are hard to find but keep looking.

To Fly over Waltham was his original book, Lancaster operations is a revised update.

Regards,

Steve.

Hi all,
I run the 576 Squadron Digital Archive (and was a navigator on 100 Sqn myself): would love to get in touch with Emma Beet as I believe your grandfather William served also on 576 Sqn from Jun 1945, flying at least 9 operational flights including bringing PoWs back home from Italy (Operation Dodge)
Hope to hear from you!
