Information 1939 Register William Bradbury
« on: Saturday 06 February 16 04:09 GMT (UK) »
Can someone kindly assist ?
I am trying to locate a William Bradley who I think married Veronica Muriel Bradley 4th Qtr 1950 Manchester.
Veronica appears to be listed on the 1939 Register living at 10 Stainton Ave Manchester.
Her surname was originally listed as Wyatt but changed to Bradley , presumably with the knowledge that she later married Bradley.
I think Veronica died 1st qtr 1980 Manchester.
I am hoping to trace William Bradley.

With thanks
Wyatt and Wood of Glossop, Derbyshire. Longstaff of Bishop Auckland,Durham. Harry of St Austell and St Kew,Cornwall. Charters of County Antrim.Knight of Warwickshire.Hendy of Ballyedmonduff.

Hi

The surname appears to be Bradbury not Bradley, it is going to be difficult to identify him without more information.

Sorry Andy
My mistake. I meant to type Bradbury.
Unfortunately the only evidence of him is the marriage from BMD.

Are we to assume you have not purchased the marriage certificate?
If you have not the obvious answer is to purchase the certificate and follow the information on that to trace his father/parents.
Once you know who his parents are you can hone in on his location & birth more easily using other available records such as Electoral Registers.

Thanks Guy.
Not yet. I agree might be only effective way to identify him.
The register apparently indicates " one more person who is officially closed".
Location was 10 Stainton Avenue Manchester.

Secondly,   consider buying the death certificate, as it may contain a new address.

The person you are looking for may be the "Informant"
