Thank you - no father's name, he was illegitimate, along with his 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Mother's name Hannah Eke (born in Barningham Parva now called Little Barningham, Norfolk). He gave his brother's name (Matthew) as his fictitious father's name at his second marriage. When Matthew married he gave another brother's name (Richard) as his fictitious father. May have signed up as Watling (thank you we knew of the step-father) - will check this was explored.
