You can search Australian newspaper archives online for free!

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

I have searched on Trove, Ancestry, IGI, Google, National Archives, pretty much anywhere I could think of.

Yonks is Perth Battye Library similar to Trove? I wasn’t meaning that there wouldn’t / couldn’t be a reference found of Florence in the WA source. So Battye library has copies of newspapers from all over Australia as well. I will keep that in mind. Are they online or do you have to go to the library?

Treetotal – her name is Florence Davey. She was probably born about 1918. That is a best guess. I have searched using her name, nick name, and variations. However, it is believed that the title or text with the photo ( I don’t have the text) was something like 'Visitors enjoy the outing'. I have searched for variations of this text – no luck. I don’t know if she is alive. I don’t know if she married. Details about her are very sketchy. Since her siblings were born in Queensland, I believe she was also born in Queensland.

Florence is one of life’s mysteries. I will put her on the backburner for now.
Cheers

Mrs Wheelie,

No Battye is [ our State and Genealogy ] at  Perth's Library, http://slwa.wa.gov.au/
you can search on that site although you may not be able to view all that they have to offer as I have a State card, you can get a State Card for your own State Library, just google your State Library.
I have just done a search and couldn't find your lady in any Brisbane papers, maybe if you get in touch with the Library in Bisbane they may be able to help you on this.

Sorry can't help

Cheers

Thanks Yonks,
Without knowing exactly what text went with the photo, it would probably mean going through every paper covering a number of years. Right now, I think I can spend my time on more meaningful research.
