Annie Fraser 1865 - 1943 Can any one in Aberdeen find a marriage to a James Chisholm 1863 - 1917 born Edinburgh I can find a marriage in Liverpool but wont to double check their is not a marriage in Scotland before moving to Liverpool both died in Liverpool.

There is NO marriage in the index at Scotland's People of a James Chisholm to an Ann* Fra*er between 1855 and 1891. I think that Liverpool one has to be correct, and it's the person who told you the marriage was in Scotland who is the duffer, not the Liverpool marriage.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

From my last reply on other thread

But in a reply on your other post you give the impression you have that cert as you quote their fathers names.  You also say somebody else says they married in Scotland so are you quoting info from that person rather than your own personal research?

You were asked on your other post whether you had checked SP for a marriage - have you?

I can't understand your reluctance  to accept the Liverpool marriage given that both James and Annie were living in Liverpool/Cheshire on censuses prior to the 1887 marriage as per info I have posted on your other thread

Ah yes. Very confused, I am, thanks to there being two threads on the same family. I agree with you that the Liverpool marriage is the right one.

Great census pointers for 1881, Jonn  :) With everything commented on prior, looks like both the Chisholm and Fraser families prior to the marriage of son James and daughter Ann in Lancashire.
