I suggest you post a higher resolution scan or request one from the document provider. I assume it is not against copyright to post the whole image?

Why don't you meanwhile have a go at some of it, post what you think & then perhaps someone can fill in the gaps  :). it'd be very satisfying for you to work some of it out.

I have rotated the image to make it easier  :D.

Maybe copy a section at a time to make it easier?  I can see "as wife is ill" down the page but probably best to do it in order.

Petesdragon - are you around to tell us which bits you have had a go at? Or if you are able to obtain a better copy? And what you already know about the history of the person?

Hello

There are some abbreviated references, often seen on military forms and I presume RNR is Royal Naval Reserve. I see you have some suggestions, I always set the recognised words out on a plain piece of paper, with your line gaps and word gaps where you cannot read parts, or a whole line.

Some seems to be pay or allowances, with dates and authority references, or standard Form references and many references to Swansea, some might be Unit numbers and a Naval historian / enthusiast familiar with these forms, might be familiar with some of these.

My notes are in square brackets and my comments in square brackets, are not on scan.

19th October 1937
(16 ? 2 recd) [received]
Swansea 21.10.??
B.V.2. to Swansea 21.10
RV2 + 58B to Swansea 14/12/3?
?? 6262/32
    ?      ?      M.O. request pay
in ?

To Swansea to pay 1/6  17.12.32
Sch   ?34 Swansea 20-12-32   ?   NWO
Rob Swansea 14.7.34 Report over?
as above P&?  54 &  ?   ?   105
RVl said 102?   ?   ?   ?
  ?   ( ? )   ?       ?   105

Rob        layed
                 as wife
[line ?]
[line ?]
(med. cert re wife attached)
?    above ?  [date or reference] 3.14 ? Pay 3/4/ ?
[line ends] ..... before.

[lines not known]

[recognise the word in last paragraph] Swansea
[very last line] Return still suspended.

Set out what you can using the suggestions on the other replies, with your unknown words as gaps, then I usually read it over and over again, over several days and the harder to read words, occasionly spring to mind, or what they might be, when looking back at my copies of any documents.

I presume original is still with the military? Ask them for a better copy, worth a try?
Mark

Thanks one and all for your input, it has filled in some gaps, I have discovered that the original record is at National Archives UK and intend to pay a visit soon... not that far away. It seems fro what I can decipher, that if you joined the RNR in those days and became unemployed, seemingly you were not allowed on a training course.

Narrow minded people back then
