I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)

Pine/Pyne, Dowdeswell, Kempster, Sando/Sandoe/Sandow, Nancarrow, Hounslow, Youatt, Richardson, Jarmyn, Oxlade, Coad, Kelsey, Crampton, Lindner, Pittaway, and too many others to name.
Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Wilts, Germany, Sweden, and of course London, to name a few.

Once again, for those overseas, stubbies as in shorts, not beers.  ;D

Crank up the barbies, tinnies on ice, wine for the gals and have a great day Aussies!   From a Kiwi Scot way way down under!

We celebrated Burns Night last night [OH is Scottish] and now Australia Day today!  Happy Australia Day everyone  :)

I forgot to order a haggis for last night and the local Scottish butcher had run out [son-in-law cheered when he heard that] so we had black pudding, neeps and  square sausages -OH hadn't heard of them as a traditional Scottish dish  ;D but the butcher assured me that they were.

No Haggis and neeps for me thanks Rosball!  But I did listen to an old tape I have of a relative narrating some of Burns' poetry.

One of my favourites - Holly Willie's Prayer!

Wish we had a Scottish butcher here, not for haggis, but for good old fashioned steak pie, my steak pie doesn't taste anything like my Mum's!  ???

Had some when I was in Scotland last year, YUM!  With Mashed tatties, not bashed neeps 😀 No different spices etc, just good old steak and onion!
