patricia, somebody on here should know how to get hold of the Artillery records, maybe Kew? I think you should check the Old Parish Registers for Gorbals, (Scotlands People or the Mitchell Library online), try a request to the Mitchell first (virtualmitchell) as SP charge you. Gorbals parish also included the Cavalry Barracks, the church is shown here,
