I am back on my ancestory quest after bout 10 years and have lost most my previous work so decided to start from the beginning I am trying to get a birth certificate for a William pidsley my great grandfather born abt 1871  I have a death certificate but cannot find a birth one any help would b much appreciated ty in advance[started as a beginner because I cant remember much of what to do]from u.k england

Hi if that death registration is correct William b c 1871 Shepton Mallet, Gloucestershire married to an Emma
Census ref in 1901 RG13/4916/93/11

There's quite a few previous postings for this family but nothing found regarding William's birth.

Do you have any of William's marriage certs?

If so what is his father's name and occupation?
