Not sure if you're still looking for info on this but I can probably help if you are. My grandmother was Sarah Jane Davies - b. 4 Sep 1878 - daughter of Sarah Davies.

Evening Deirdre. I am wondering if you managed to find any record of the drowning or a death certificate for Sarah? I and my grandfather have both been researching our family tree and have both hit a brick wall with Sarah. The story that has been passed down to my granch is the same as yours that Sarah allegedly drowned in a flood but we do not know the year this supposedly happened. I hope you have had more success in your search. Thanks Rachel
