Ancestry
« on: Thursday 07 January 16 11:07 GMT (UK) »
hi all, hoping for some help!
I have not used Ancestry for about a month. Today I can't seem to use it at all!!!

I have been flopped over to the "improved site"- cant get off it, can't get any search buttons to work,
some pages won't come up at all, can't even "verify" my pass word, which on and off it wants me to do.  Is this me do you think, or is there a problem today? Any ideas?

I've used it all morning (and almost every day since the 14th December switch) without problems?

I'm afraid you won't have any choice now, it is the only site. I haven't had any problems, so it does look as if it may be your particular settings.

If you can't get it to work after trying all the tricks like logging on and off, clearing cookies, history etc, it may be worth giving Ancestry a call.

Yes, I think you are right. I have now managed to get a bit working again. But I shall struggle with this new site for a long time I am sure- last year I switched back several times as I could not get anything done in the new format!!! ho hum. Maybe time to abandon Ancestry next renewal date.

I have found Ancestry.co.uk totally unresponsive for days. Couldn't log in or search. Today it has started working again without me doing anything.

There was a message on one of my pages yesterday "Unavailable due to maintence on the site" But it didn't stop me from working.
