Hello,

I'm looking for some basic biographical information on a Mrs Leslie-Jones, as she was always listed in contemporary sources such as 'The Times of India' newspaper. She won the women's singles title at the Punjab Lawn Tennis Championships in Lahore in 1910.

I would particularly like to find her first name(s) and maiden name.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

A Frederick Archibald & Christiana Mary Leslie-Jones were in Bengal in 1905 and 1907 when 2 of their children were born (Familysearch). This couple were married in Sept Qtr 1904 Tilsbery registration district(FreeBMD). Christiana's maiden name was Baskett. If you google the names some family trees come up,

I found the same info as Raybistre did and then came back and there it was. ;) Easy to find, certainly.

I'm curious as aghadowey is, and also (although this may have been stated in one of the many threads) what the interest in all these people (tennis players, civil servants ...) is.
