Hi, I was intrigued by your enquiry about Hilda Mary, as I have been looking into the history of her father Jabez Thomas Watkins. He was the brother of my grandmother's stepmother (Margaret Ann Evans - nee Watkins). She kept her own history very secret and as with many modern families there are many gaps in our history. Nothing is known of her family history as I don't think they were ever included in the family she married into (Evans). She eventually settled in London, as did her children and died there. Jabez appears to have had a very successful career in The Post Office and he also eventually moved to London from Cardiff and died there. If you are a Watkins, perhaps you can help me to expand our history, as we know practically nothing about them. Unfortunately I'm not a Watkins, however Jabez married my Great Grandfathers sister Sophia Charlotte Townsend, whilst researching my family tree I learnt that Jabez and Sophia had 2 children(I believe)Hilda Mary(1909) and Ivor George(1911).Thank You for your message Best Wishes Sarah.
