Mararoa Glasgow to auckland 1885
« on: Monday 28 December 15 20:31 GMT (UK) »
The maiden voyage of this ship which was built in Dumbarton in 1885 was from Glasgow in October 1885 but I can't find any passenger lists - does anyone have any bright ideas?    My great grandfather James Blair with his wife Catherine and children, James, Annie, Frederick and Archibald were supposedly passengers on it, arrival in Auckland Dec 8 1885.

Have you looked on familysearch?

They have a lot of original records of New Zealand passenger lists.  There is one which shows a Mr. and Mrs. Blair and (I think) 3 children arriving in Auckland in 1885

but how much use it is, I'm not really sure  :-\

Thanks for that Bev,  I think that is the correct Blair family.          Philippa
