Hi can anybody look up a marriage at Lympstone in 1951 ,I am trying to make some sense of a line and need to know the fathers name and occupation of John G S Coaker who married there in 1951.

There is also the above marriage in the name of George F R Coaker.

However on their gravestone the name is Francis Richard Coaker b.1883, Mildred b. 1902 is buried with him.

I can only see a birth record in 1883 for a George Francis R Coaker (no Francis R Coaker). Perhaps his preferred name was Francis/Frank as per various census. In 1891 Francis is living on Sherberton Farm which ties in with the name on his grave stone.

Hopefully someone may be able to do a look up for you to confirm these details or you may need to purchase the marriage cert.

Well thank you,that will help a lot,it was the puzzle of Johns Parents that was the problem and I can now put the tree right,it is always a puzzle when people change their name,to make matters worse Francis or George was known as Frank,

Look like a 'Coaker' is still associated with Serberton Farm.

Looking at the 1939 register John George Stanley Coaker is living with George Frances Richard Coaker and 4 more people are on the record who are officially closed.
