COMPLETED - William and Rebecca (Smith) Cook
« on: Friday 18 December 15 16:14 GMT (UK) »
I am searching for the death certificates for William and Rebecca (Smith) Cook in Sheffield.  As far as I can find, she died on 11 October, 1947 at the Little Sisters Home on Heeley Bank Road, Sheffield.  She was buried (I believe) in Grave V799 in Intake Cemetery, Sheffield.   William was born on 24 May, 1868.  I have found him in the 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 census records.  Because the 1921 census is not yet available (??) I cannot find him anywhere after 1911.  Rebecca is listed on the 1901 and 1911 census records.  They were married in Wadsley in 1901.
I'm not absolutely sure that I have the correct Rebecca Cook, but feel pretty sure because of the dates of birth and death.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked for them in 1939 register  :-\

Using the birth date for William that you gave there is one that fits in Sheffield - Reginald C Foxton (bn 1915) and one other are living with him

Sorry to sound ignorant, but how do I access the 1939 Register? I have not accessed that before.  Thanks.

The 1939 register is available on FindMyPast.  You can 'play' with it without buying the record

I put in John Cook and the date of birth you gave and it brought up two records.  If I have the correct John & Rebecca I see their daughter Muriel married Charles Foxton  :)
