Looking for location of photo - London, Shoreditch/Hoxton area.

Its my grandad in this photo Arthur Jenner b1926 in Shoreditch, married in 1957 in Hoxton.
No longer around but he grew up in the shoreditch and bethnal green areas.

I've done a good search on the name 'Davant' for the shop behind but cant find anything substantial.
One address comes up but it doesn't look like the same area from the photo.

The style of the shop to the left could be Burton mens wear.

Have a look at the post office directories for that area in the 1920's and see if you can find the shop where you think the photo was taken.

I would have said this was a 1950s photo.

Afraid I can't help as to where this is.  But, I wonder what the small pieces of paper they are holding are for.   Do you know?

Could they be collecting their demob outfits?  In which case it would be local to where he lived.

Davant Ltd was a chain of house furnishers.
