Thanks to all of you for the trails you suggested I might follow, particularly those of gaffy and bevj.They have yielded very helpful results. I have discovered that my great grandparents were married in 1845. The spelling of both their surnames are different from those used today. I have also discovered two extra grandaunts, one whose forename is that of one of my sisters.

You may already have this information; an Edward Hagan and his brother James were evicted from their Glenogue holding on the 7th Jul 1887. Edward married Maria Moran on the 11 Sep 1882 and had the following children; Mary 1883, Bridget 1885, Patrick 1888 & John 1892.
