Henry DOUPE 1816 - 1849 born about 1816 possibly in Rathkeale, Limerick, Ireland

I'm chasing information on HENRY DOUPE who was born about 1816 possibly in Rathkeale, Limerick, Ireland and died on 25 April 1849 in Dublin.

Henry married my great-great-grandmother, Mary Jane Crompton in Killaloe Dioceses, Ireland in 1842; the marriage record shows Mary's name as Eagan.

After Henry's death Mary migrated to Australia aboard the ship 'Matoaka' arriving Melbourne 26 May 1854.  The story I have is that Mary left her 2 sons behind to join her brothers in Victoria. In 1863 her sons, then teenagers, came to Australia.

I'm looking for details of Henry's birth date & place as well as details on their marriage date & place.

Any help would be appreciated.

There is an 1812 baptism that is a good fit for Henry and places him as one of the large family of Samuel DOUPE/DOBE and Catherine SHIER

of Courtmatrass and baptised in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick were:

but there seems to be a Canadian connection rather than an Australian one
Mary Ann's surname varies from La Guerre, Lagare, Legear, etc. but never CROMPTON

has a Henry Doupe born 14 Oct 1812, son of Samuel and Catherine Doupe.  Henry's death is shown as having taken place in Ontario, Canada, on 2 Nov 1896.

My apologies as Henry Doupe's wife was Mary Jane Egan, she became a Crompton in 1855 when she remarried in Australia.

I believe my Henry was a different person to the one baptised in 1812.  I have attached the marriage record for Henry & Mary Jane in the hope it may be of assistance.

Have you checked the CoI original of the 1842 marriage for parents names?

The Henry born to Samuel and Catherine in Rathkeale seems to be the same Henry who married in Rathkeale in 1838.
