So the file had all three certificates ..... his baptismal, his parents marriage, and his death registration.  I wonder why a lad in the 1890s in NSW would have had a copy of his parents' marriage certificate... perhaps it had been sent from Belfast by his parents after his death, as they would have been his next of kin for any distribution of his estate.

The mention of St Vincent's Hospital confirms that 'the Hospice' was Sacred Heart Hospice, Darlinghurst.

Well of course I should take all the credit for this ... 

It was Jorose who found the entry and since I was going there today I just added it to my list.

But the probate/deceased estate/intestate files are soooo variable.   One of the probate files I photographed today had only 3 pages without anything much of use (as far as I could tell).

I must admit that I just skim and click and don't really read or absorb.

I do wonder if the lady he was living with (in the best sense of the phrase) was a relative ...?  I'll have another look now.

The lady he was living with was described as a friend -  Mrs E Thornton,  "Lor na Doon", Springwood.
