Where did you get her year and place of birth from please.  As her marriage year of 1776, would make her 16 at the time.  Not unusual, but are you sure of her birth year and place.

Even in 1776, usually a marriage at 16, might still require parents consent.

Where did you find the marriage....was it Familysearch.?

Thank you Steve for taking the time to reply.

The dob is not exact but I believe Elizabeth was a minor at the time of her marriage, so it was an educated guess. If it helps Edward lines was a witness at her marriage, but we're unsure if he was her father, brother or some other relative.

The  reason I ask, is that there is an Elizabeth Line/Lyne baptised in Newton Longville, Bucks. 1 Sept 1748. daughter of  Edward & Mary Line/Lyne, which would give her age as 28 at time of marriage.
There is also a marriage for Edward LYNE to Mary Walton @ Wolverton, Bucks. 27 Apr 1739.

These are from Familysearch.

Personally, I would ask BucksFHS for a search from their baptism/marriage/burial databases.  These may also give other clues that FamilySearch does not publish.

There is a token charge of £1 per enquiry. http://www.bucksfhs.org.uk/index.php/database-searches
If you know the year of death of Elizabeth Parrott(nee.Line), it may give her age. Therefore, narrowing down her year and place of baptism.

I would also ask for the transcribed details of Elizabeth Line's marriage to Robert Parrott, and her death/burial.

FamilySearch is a great rescource, but transcriptions by BucksFHS, usually give more information generally.

Hope this helps.
