Hi Al,
I'd certainly accept Laura's recommendation if I were you!
Some other thoughts (though let's hope you get the specific answer to your query on the wonderful RootsChat!):
* The relevant Rootsweb mailing list (SCT-FIFE-L) is very helpful. Locals willingly assist and there are also posters there who have compiled lists of MIs and provide photos (though I think they are more concentrated on the west of Fife).
* There are three 'volumes' of MIs for Fife produced by JF and S Mitchell which might be available in a library near you (Vol 1 for SE Fife, Vol 2 for W Fife, and Vol 3 for NE Fife)
* Another good site is that of the Fife Family History Society at:
Click HereThey have (for sale) a pre-1855 death index CD, and other useful publications (and there's a very good search engine on that site).
* And, of course, could you not order in the relevant film of the Parish Records (after checking on FamilySearch to see whether it includes burials) to your local LDS Family History Centre.
Good luck,
JAP
PS: Only a 4-hour drive

Just a tad easier than travelling from Australia, eh!
