By the time of the 1939 register, Ernest and Jane Head had moved out to the Ormskirk area (presumably Lathom).

Ernest Wilfred & Margaret Head travelled with Sheena Grace Guise to Colombo on the Yorkshire , January 22, 1932. The Heads gave their address as The Blundellsands Hotel (I knew that establishment very well !)

Thank you so much ShaunJ - you have given so many leads - fabulous!

I see the Blundellsands Hotel is another piece of history...shame the locals weren't successful in purchasing... (though the residents in the new apartments would probably disagree haha).

I'm off to hunt around some more and see what I can find, all thanks to you!

Enjoy your evening.

I know that this is out of date but, just saw this posting when researching something else. Could the ladies in Liverpool have been known as 'Dickie' and 'Moonie'?... sorry to be asking a question rather than answering one.

Just a curiosity, Ada Rose Birch married a second time to Henry Guise, why did Oscar  take his name?
