Hi All,

In re; to Henry using his middle name Frederick being a possibility, I followed that line because many children of Convicts sent to Australia were victimised because of their parents activities.

James Tomer Vincent was a convict, as was his wife Sara Beazley, and yes they did have a son Frederick Henry. Off the top of my head I didn't follow that line up after finding out that Frederick Henry Vincent died on a different date to Henry Frederick.
I believe I am right in saying that children of James Tomer Vincent were the founders of Vincent Powders.

Yes there are a number of Ancestry members who have James & Sara as parents to Henry, but as we are all aware that many family trees on Ancestry are wrong and just compiled by putting names down for the sake of adding names to their tress.

I had what I thought to be a true and correct history of my family on Ancestry, but it was butchered by people adding to the tree, and that is how James Tomer Vincent's name is found on many trees. [I deleted that tree from Ancestry].
No-one has provided evidence to the fact that James Tomer Vincent is correct.

Thanks Debra,

Henry Vincent's Death Certificate states he was born circa 1850, and a Native of Hobart.

The informant was a J.Imlach a friend.

Regards

Henry Vincent married an Allison Polson. Her father James was a convict, despite his Marriage Certificate stating he was "free".

The same may be said for his wife Bridget Tierney. There are two who came to Australia around the same time. One was free, the other was a convict.

I believe James married the free Bridget.
