Whitehead. Foster
« on: Sunday 15 November 15 08:13 GMT (UK) »
Hello All,
I am looking for any information about Oliver Foster, born in Wolverhampton, and Sarah Whitehead who was born in Oldham. They married and lived in Oldham. They had one son, Fred, my father deceased, born 13 th January 1921 or 1922.
Did my father have cousins called Jack and George Pickering? Were they related to the Whitehead part of the Family, are there any Schofields in the family?
I would be very grateful of any information at all about my family as I am at the very beginning of researching this branch of my family.

Thank you
Zappah

Hello,
There is a published tree which shows details of the marriage.

St Thomas, Werneth 19 August 1922

A witness was Ada Pickering.

You will, perhaps, have to just work your way back from Sarah and Oliver and check sibling marriages etc and continue like that.

Were the Pickerings also an Oldham family and the Schofields?

Yes Whiteheads, Pickerings and Schofields were Oldham families.

Free BMD shows a marriage 1915
Ada Whitehead and John Pickering.

There are births for John Pickering and George Pickering with mother's maiden name of Whitehead.

You need first names for the Schofields really.

I have looked at Lancashire BMD for any possible marriages with those surnames but without further detail it is difficult.
