So. I'm not losing my mind...none of them are there!  The suggestions you made don't pan out with any of the family facts. 

I guess my investment in the 1939 register was for naught.  Disappointing after all the hype.

Thank you everyone who poked around to help though.

I think that we need to put some of our rellies on the back burner for now and come back to them when the hype has died down and hopefully they've corrected a few of their transcription errors.

My grandad was 46 and away from home in the Territorial Army in 1939.
I only found him by his christian name and month of birth.Day and year are wrong.
His surname was WORTH,but the transcription says ???th.
Luckily I knew he was still in Cheshire somewhere.
The family lived in Macclesfield,but he wasn't with them.
