John Ray of East Claydon Bucks
« on: Thursday 14 July 05 14:47 BST (UK) »
I am looking for info on my Grt Grt Grandfather John Ray who was born in 1834 in East Claydon. According to the 1861 census he married a Mary Reynolds and had 2 children Thomas George and Clara Georgina. I have had no luck in tracing John or Mary after the 1861 census and also would be interested to know anything about John or his parents before 1861.

Many Thanks

Andy.

Hi Andy
Are his parents John born Adstock and Elizabeth born East Claydon. I have 1851 census and if so can match the family for you

Hi Tazzie,
Yes I think you are right. I have had some info from the Bucks family history society which hopefully pulls all this together. I believe that the data on 1851 is Johns family and hopefully will be able to go back even further (with help from others).

Thanks for your input any other info would be gratefully accepted, I do not have access to 1841 or 51 census.

Regards

Andy.
