Hope some one can help. Looking for Martin Martin born about 1890 Portree Father Neil Martin Mother Christina Ross, Martin was last seen at Glenmore croft in 1922.

Have you checked Scotlands People for his death or marriage?  The free search shows 2 matches for a Martin Martin with a birthyear 1890 +- 1yr and a death date between 1922-1990

Neither match to Inverness or to a mothers maiden name of Ross.  Mothers maiden names were only captured from 1974 so if he died before that date it will not show.  Images can be downloaded for deaths up to 1964

Carole Thanks for your help i know that his father died in 1922 at the cottage  so i suppose that Martin was there at the time, will keep hunting.

Carol was only pointing out a time frame which she did a quick search.

There can't be many Martin Martins so you just play about with the yrs until you get a likely one but it wouldn't be impossible for him to have died 1922 after his father.

The whole index for yrs Carol gave you would probably work out best as the index holds 25 entries for the same price as just 1.

I have no patience so Martin was born 23 Aug 1889 at Glenmore

This is likely him as his father was Neil.
