Price family at Clwt-y-Bont, Llanddeiniolen, Caernarvonshire

I am trying to trace my great grandmother, Appolonia Jones, nee Williams, born about 1837 in Pentraeth, Anglesey.  On her marriage certificate her father's name is given as William Price, miner, (patronymic system?).  Appolonia was known as Appy.  I have found a family living at Clwt-y-Bont, Llanddeiniolen, where I believe the family moved to, in the 1841 and 1851 census.  All the correct names, ages and all born in Pentraeth, except that there is no Appolonia, only an Abigail.  However, Abby sounds a lot like Appy.  Am I clutching at straws or could this be a mistake on the part of the census recorder?  There is no record of Abigail in the 1861 census, my Appy was in the Bangor workhouse in 1861 and married William Jones in 1862.  Where else can I look to see if my theory is correct?

Have you found the Clwt Y Bont  family in 1861.

In both 1841 and 1851, Abigail Price  is entered with her full name, not Abby or Appy.

No, I haven't found the family in 1861 census.

Abeical (sic) Pryse was baptised in Pentraeth on 18th September 1836, daughter of William and Catherine.

The other children - Annas, Edward, Richard and William - were also baptised there on 18th May 1834 with a second Edward in 1836 - all as Pryse.

I`d take a bet that this is the sister Agnes, but can`t find a marriage for her and Owen Pritchard.
It would be interesting to see if she used Price or also used Williams.

The marriage took place at Llanddeiniolen Parish Church on the 17th of September, 1853:

Owen Prichard, age 28, Bachelor, Quarryman, of Cae'r Hedyn, son of Richard Jones, Quarryman
Annas Williams, age 23, Spinster, of Clwtybont, daughter of William Prys, Miner

Both Owen & Annas signed by mark. The witnesses, funnily enough, were both called John Roberts!

I think at least two of Owen and Agnes's children moved to live in Slatington, Lehigh. There is no MI for Owen or Agnes in Llanddeiniolen, as far as I can tell. Owen was still alive in 1875, a newspaper report noting that a fundraising event took place , as he had been in ill-health for some time. There is an on-line family tree for them, concentrating on USA descendants, but no 'Appolonia' is mentioned.

So we have two sisters marrying with the name of Williams, both naming William Price as father .

I wonder if they were born to Catherine before she married William Price.
Was Catherine a Williams, perhaps a widow, or maybe they were illegitimate.
The marriage of William and Catherine might shed some light.

 This still doesn`t solve the Appolonia puzzle though
