You shouldn't need to 'order' it - you should be able to view and download it instantly online - and it's cheaper that way.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

I had done that through that site before but for some reason it was the only choice it would give me. I haven't ordered a death record before so I thought that must be why.  I've only ordered birth records and marriages through their site before and had got them immediately.

Well I got the death certificate and it confirmed that his parents were John Newlands and Margaret Lang.  Interestingly I ordered the other death certificate in the name of George Waddell Newlands who died in 1951 b. 1877 as well to see if I could figure out how he is connected.  I am starting to think it maybe a son from a previous marriage to a Christina Ramsay.
