Kelly in Kilcock around 1900's

I am looking for information on Michael Kelly born about 1880. Married Mary Anne Sweeney in 1907. Murdered her in 1915 and sent to Mountjoy Prison leaving behind 5 children.

Not surre what sort of information you are looking for on Michael but does their marriage certificate not list his father's name and occupation? I can;t see the couple in the 1911 census in either Kilcock townland or D.E.D.- was that an earlier or later address?

There is an article about the murder in the Kildare Observer, his father died on the Thursday night before he appeared in court.

Michael was in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.

He had two sister in law's called Anne Sweeney.

I haven't read it all.

Bits and pieces from it.
He served in France.
He was in Cork arriving home on the 11 Aug.
Her mother was Mary Sweeney one of the Anne Sweeney's was her sister, so she must have had a brother for the other Anne Sweeney to be a sister in law also.
His wife had a baby about 3 weeks before he came home.

In another article the Rural District Council for Celbridge sent a letter for mercy, saying his was weak minded and had attempted at an earlier time to commit suicide.

His death sentence was commuted to penal servitude for life.

One of the Anne Sweeney's lived at Courtown so this looks good for Mary's family in 1911.

as entitled to receive the Queen's South Africa Medal
This implies he served in SA from Oct 1899 to May 1902
so most likely won't be on an Irish or UK census

Reg#6589 is on his on his prision records

They state that they are 5 years married which implies 1906 but I don't see a marriage record

If you have access to the marriage record - the father's names would help locate births etc.

Looking at amendments to 1911 census I wonder was Patrick and/or Mary married twice?
