Godsell and Harrington
« on: Saturday 24 October 15 02:21 BST (UK) »
Looking for descendants of Patricia (Pat) Godsell,(Born June 1923) a nurse, from Golden in Tipperary who married John Harrington around 1946, possibly in Lambeth Surrey. They divorced later and they lived at some stage in Middlesex. They had at least two sons and one daughter (Ann??).

Patricia had two sisters, Betty who was also a nurse in London for a number of years, and Naomi who remained in Ireland. One of Patricia's sons visited Betty in Maynooth Co Kildare in the 1980s.

Any help appreciated

Hi Ros, the marriage was in fact James Harrington to Margaret P Godsell March qtr 1946 Lambeth 1d 333, their were 4 children from this marriage 1946 to 1953, as they are potentially still alive I would suggest you go to the free site FreeBMD and click on Births then enter Surname Harrington Mother surname Godsell then search from 1946 to 1953 click on Find, this will bring up all the births for the couple.

Thank you, Keyboard86.
I am searching from outside the  UK, and do not have a link to the free bdm site.
Could you possibly share it?
Thanks a million
Ros

I'll jump in as KB is offline! ;D

www.freebmd.org.uk is the site to use.

NB It's BMD in the UK, and I gather it's usually BDM in the antipodes!?
BMD because that's the chronological order of events - Birth, Marriage, Death.
