He was the son of John McKinna and Jane Gordon

Emmigrated to New Zealand c1858

What sort of information are you looking for so we don't duplicate what you aleady know?

Do you have his baptism record? Scotlands People might be the place to go for this one but you'll need to  buy credits at some point.

Was he married before he emigrated?

Are you looking for marriage and death records once he got to New Zealand?

Have you tried our New Zealand resources board?

John McKinna came to NZ as a single man and have details of his marriage etc. in NZ

Could not find his birth or that of his parents in Familysearch.  Will look at the sight you suggest
