Marr Licence 1695
« on: Monday 19 October 15 12:39 BST (UK) »
Michael Holt and Ann Valentine married 17 Jan 1695 in Manchester (now Cathedral). The record states they were both from Eccles. The marriage licence of the 16th, tells us that Michael came from Swinton in the parish of Eccles.

Can someone tell me what is written, at the end, between "Annam Valentine de" and "et jurante dicti Michaelis" ?

There are a number of abbreviated words, as indicated by the lines above the letters:

"de ead[e]m Sp[inste]r ex cauc[i ]one et juram[en]to" - "of the same [parish], spinster, on the bond and oath"

(I've deliberately inserted a space in the third omission, as otherwise the forum software interprets it as an Italic instruction.)
