All Saints, Mobberley?
« on: Saturday 17 October 15 08:31 BST (UK) »
Hi,
According to FamilySearch, Cheshire BTs record the burial of Hannah Attenbury on the 11th August 1859 at All Saints, Mobberley. But, so far as I can determine, there is only St. Wilfred's in Mobberley. Can anyone help locate this church please?

(Ref:https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N4NB-7PN)

Regards,

Ian

The image on FindMyPast, from the BTs, for the burial of Hannah ATTENBOROUGH just states the Parish Church of Mobberley and going backwards I can't seem to find a name for the church.  Hannah is also said to have had her abode in Chorley, and to be 23 years old.

St Wilfrid's was "an ancient parish church, originally serving the township of Mobberley".

Thanks for the prompt responses.
The death was recorded in the district of Macclesfield and in the 1861 census, Hannah's husband and son were at Great Warford. Her son, also born in 1859, has his birth town record as Great Warford. (Ref: RG9 2587/37/P7)

Thanks for everyone's help.

I think we have established that the burial took place at St. Wilfred's and that the FamilySearch reference is incorrect as it refers to the All Saints chapel at Micklehurst, which also has some entries on the same microfilm.

Thanks for the clarification.
